Celebrating 50 Years of the College of Creative Studies

The College of Creative Studies was officially established on the UC Santa Barbara campus in 1967, in order to serve students who demonstrated talent for original work in art or science. Join us in celebrating 50 years of creating new knowledge during the 2017-2018 academic year, reflecting on how we have evolved over the years.

Each week, from September 2017 through June 2018, we will share a story from our past or present. We need your help gathering these stories by telling us your CCS story. Make sure you don’t miss a weekly #UCSBCCS50 posts by following us on social media. Read The CCS Stories (coming soon!), a running collection of Anniversary articles and personal stories.

Ways to get involved:

-Tell us your story! Whether you are an alumnus, student, faculty member or member of the community, we want to hear how CCS has impacted you. Tag your posts on social media using #UCSBCCS50 or submit your stories online.

-Sign up for Anniversary email newsletters. Twice a month you will get a CCS Anniversary notes, which will include images from our archives and/or current CCS news, sent straight to your inbox.

-Celebrate with us! The entire year of celebration will culminate with a CCS 50th Anniversary banquet in Spring 2018 (date and time TDB). Reunite with old classmates or reconnect with your favorite faculty members while you celebrate 50 years of creating new knowledge at CCS!
