2017 CCS Commencement Events Information
Congratulations! Fall 2016, Winter 2017, Spring 2017, Summer 2017 and Fall 2017 Graduates and Degree Candidates are invited to participate in the June 2017 CCS Commencement events.
Saturday June 10th, 4:00 – 5:30 pm, CCS Art Gallery (CCS Bldg. 494)
The Pre-Commencement Celebration will take place Saturday afternoon in the College of Creative Studies Art Gallery. This is an opportunity for students and family to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class of 2016-2017 with CCS faculty and staff. Light refreshments will be provided. Please note: The Art Gallery is a small venue. Graduates may invite up to two guests.
Pre-Commencement Celebration Parking – Saturday, June 10th: Visitor parking is available in several lots and parking structures on campus including the following: Parking Structures 10, 18, and 22; and Parking Lots 3, 5, 8, 9, 12 and 16. Lots 3, 8, 9 and 5 are closest to the building, however, parking tends to be the most limited in these lots. To avoid being ticketed on Saturday, please be sure to place a valid parking permit on your dashboard and be mindful of all parking signage. Sunday June 11th, 11:00 am – 12:30 pm, Campbell Hall
The ceremony begins promptly at 11:00 AM. GRADUATES AND DEGREE CANDIDATES MUST BE ON THE STAGE NO LATER THAN 10:30 AM. Stage directions will be given at this time. The ceremony will take place inside Campbell Hall (see below for directions and parking information).

Commencement Parking – Sunday, June 11th: On Sunday only, complimentary parking permits will be available at the entrance to Parking Lot 12 for all CCS Commencement Ceremony guests. Be sure to see the parking attendant stationed at the entrance to Parking Lot 12 to obtain the free permit and place it on your dashboard. If Parking Lot 12 becomes full, cars will be directed to nearby lots, and complimentary permits will be available there. Signs directing guests to Campbell Hall / Parking Lot 12 will be posted on campus traveling both East (through Isla Vista), and West (via Highway 217 / Ward Memorial Boulevard). Disabled parking is available, and Campbell Hall is wheelchair accessible. Parking Lot 12 is located directly adjacent to Campbell Hall. Click here for Campus Map.
Commencement Ceremony Seating -- Campbell Hall will open at 10:00 am. Once again, Graduates must be on stage NO LATER THAN 10:30 AM. Stage directions will be given at this time. Please allow extra time for parking. Graduates will have a reserved seat on the stage; seats will be organized alphabetically by quarter of candidacy. It is advised that guests arrive early. Seating is on a first-arrived, first-seated basis and the hall fills up quickly. Limited wheelchair seating is available in the hall; guests who require wheelchair seating should be certain to arrive early.
Post Ceremony - Light refreshments will be served outside in front of Campbell Hall in Campbell Hall Plaza immediately following the ceremony. This is a great opportunity for your guests to meet CCS faculty and staff.
