Course Description

What does it mean to create or be creative?  What is the relationship between creativity and personality, intelligence, and health? This interdisciplinary course will examine the nature of creativity in science, art, and culture.  Students will be exposed to several theories of creativity as well as the latest in the cognitive science of creativity.  Class assignments will involve a careful analysis of the creative process across the CCS disciplines, activities to increase personal creativity, and a final creative assignment to promote greater personal flexibility in the creative process.
