This seminar requires your interactive presence. T.S. Eliot ("Tradition and the Individual Talent") notes writers are formed by traditions their works are embedded in and in turn they transform these traditions. We will read short fiction, poetry in a range of forms, and creative non-fiction, and write in response to these genre examples. Evaluation is based on seminar participation, a portfolio of creative work in these genres &/or analytical and research papers, and group oral performances. The seminar is structured through roundtable and group discussions, writing workshops and one-to-one conferences.
