C-BASS SEMINAR

The CCS Biology Alumni Seminar Series is a pilot seminar series that highlights alumni narratives beyond their time at CCS – their accomplishments, their doubts, their failures, and how their tenacity has helped cultivate diversity in the larger scientific community. Events will be hosted over ZOOM, and will discuss topics such as non-traditional career paths in biology, vulnerability as a scientist, and racial, sexual, and socioeconomic equality in STEM.

In this course, students will moderate, organize, and conduct outreach for the series. They will learn to write discussion questions, create advertisements, mediate talks with alumni, and establish rapport through email and video conferencing.

NOTE: this course is currently only open to the organizing team of C-BASS.
