TECHNOLOGY, ETHICS AND EQUITY

Course Description

This course is an undergraduate seminar, which investigates equity and technology in the United States and internationally. This course provides students with 1) a theoretical framework for understanding the dynamics of equity and technology 2) an opportunity to expand awareness of specific issues related to gender and equality, race and equity, digital divide, ethics, bias, privacy, fairness and security and 3) a process to explore how the lack of information and technologies can affect every aspect of our lives and society.
