LITERARY PUBLISHING C: DESIGN, PRODUCTION, AND COPYEDITING

Course Description

In this course, you will continue to build on your knowledge and expertise of Spectrum and see the journal through the final stages of production. The purpose of this course is to send this year’s edition of Spectrum to press and plan a launch party to celebrate its release. Students will focus on copyediting the work that has been selected for publication, deciding on a layout and design for the magazine, planning the launch party, and sending the proofs off to the printer. This course asks that you also learn about and engage with your planning and marketing/promotional skills.
