FIELD STUDIES IN MARINE SCIENCE

Course Description

This marine science research-oriented opportunity dubbed "ROV and Me" will involve the design and use of remotely operated submersible vehicles in the coastal ocean environment. Working as a team, students will engage in the design, acquisition and operation of remotely operated vehicles as a campus resource for research and teaching. Students will have the opportunity to develop designs, work with vendors, manage and maintain equipment, and conduct operations in the coastal ocean from UCSB vessels.
