PROBLEM SOLVING I

Course Description

This is the first of two introductory courses on problem solving. Topics include proof by contradiction, use of symmetry, induction, combinatorial and number theoretic tools and more. Students will be expected to work collaboratively on challenging problems and write up their results in a mature mathematical style.
