ARTISTS' FUTURES: SENIOR EXHIBITION SEMINAR

Course Description

This course is designed to provide graduating seniors with dedicated professional experience in exhibition development. Through the research, planning, and production process of a thesis exhibition, students will work to curate, design, and educate the public as they develop and implement proposals for their senior exhibition. Inorder to strengthen and enhance the personal studio practice of each student, we will be focusing on the conceptual and technical exhibition of the thesis portfolio and its presentation to the public, within and the beyond art education institution. Each week, we will host visiting artists, curators, or other professionals in various art arenas for lectures and formal critiques within a critical/analytical environment, to discuss one’s own work in relation to issues in contemporary art, culture, and thought.
