Course Description

"Counterpoint for Composers" is an introduction to the concepts and methods of counterpoint. We may touch on earlier styles, but the emphasis will be taking those concepts and applying them to our own work, rather than on mastering a historically based method or methods. Class activities will include reading, analysis, and written exercises.
