Course Description

CCS Art Colloquium is required for all new CCS Art Majors who are entering UCSB as freshmen or transferring into CCS. The course is designed to assist you in making the most of your experience as a CCS art student. Students will meet weekly in a forum that supports dialogue and exploration of independent and group strategies for successful navigation through the university, and the development of academic research and creative practices. They will also meet for a practice lab once a week to begin their studio practice.
Art Colloquium: Tuesday morning (remote)
Practice Lab: Tuesday evening (rm. 120)

NOTE:
All incoming art majors must also enroll in:
ART 1C, "Intro to Contemporary Art," 2.0 units, with letter grade.
Incoming painting and book arts majors must also enroll in:
ART 7B, "Image Studies," both lecture and section, for 5.0 units.
