1. Reconnect with faculty and alumni

The one-on-one student-faculty mentorship at CCS often leads to a lasting connection. Since many faculty members will be in attendance, this is a fantastic opportunity to catch up with your advisors and favorite CCS faculty.

But the connections made while at CCS do not stop at the faculty. CCS students build a kinship with their peers. However, many connections unintentionally fade once after graduation. Have you been meaning to reach out to one of your former classmates for 10, 20, or even 50 years and just haven’t gotten around to it? Well, now is your chance to send them a note and invite them to meet you at the 50th Anniversary Social!

2. Meet Current Students

Current CCS students, just like you, are genuinely passionate about their fields of study. They spend their time conducting research in world-class research labs and creating top-notch original works of Art, Music, and Literature. You will be able to network with these students and inspire them to push the limits. Hear their CCS stories, and share yours.

3. Experience the All Gaucho Reunion

The CCS 50th Anniversary Social is part of the 13th Annual All Gaucho Reunion. Hosted by the UCSB Alumni Association, each year the All Gaucho Reunion is a fun and valuable networking opportunity for you to engage with the greater UCSB community. This year's All Gaucho Reunion will take place from Thursday, April 26 through Sunday, April 29. There are numerous events across campus for you to attend, including the premiere event Taste of UCSB Beer and Wine Festival, which features various Gaucho breweries and vintners.

4. See how much the campus has changed

The UCSB campus has grown and developed in many ways over the past 50 years. Old marine barracks buildings have made way for state-of-the-art research and arts buildings. Whether you were part of the first CCS graduating class in 1971 or graduated in 2017, the seaside campus has changed in some way since. This is an opportunity to marvel at the growth of the university and see what is new at the CCS building (spoiler alert: not much has changed at CCS!).

5. Get a CCS T-shirt

After 50 years, CCS has a logo! All 50th Anniversary Social attendees will receive a special 50th Anniversary CCS T-shirt, featuring the new logo. You will be able to proudly wear the T-shirt and show your friends and family that are a member of the CCS family.

Registration is still open!
