“Why We March” is the second play written by Jordan Finley (CCS Writing & Literature ‘23) to be produced. Her first, “Feliz Cumpleaños,” was produced last year after winning the 2020 California Playwright’s Project. Her recent play, directed by UCSB alumnus Daniel Andres Blanco, was produced in a virtual format and released over Zoom in November 2020. This production by the UCSB Department of Theater and Dance was created under the umbrella of the Initiative for New and Reimagined works and AMPLIFY, a theater initiative to emphasize and support underrepresented voices.
