CCS Faculty Sharon Tettegah was featured in The Current for her co-authored research on how empathy-driven, student-centered teaching can improve STEM education. Published in Schools: Studies in Education, the study suggests that acknowledging and adapting to varied ways of learning may be key to building more inclusive and effective classrooms.

“Bottom line, it’s about the diverse preferences we bring to the classroom. And once we get the diversity in curricula represented the classroom, then you’ll get the diversity in students eventually, because it’s going to filter up.”
