Angela M. Belcher '91 (CCS Creative Studies) '97 (UCSB Ph.D. Chemistry)
Angela M. Belcher '91 (CCS Creative Studies) '97 (UCSB Ph.D. Chemistry)—a materials scientist, biological engineer, and the James Mason Crafts Professor of Biological Engineering and Materials Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts—is now the head of the Department of Biological Engineering at MIT.
Congratulations to Dr. Belcher, a 2004 MacArthur Fellow and a 2000 Beckman Young Investigators Awardee, who is an example of the impact CCS alumni have in their fields and communities.
