Three CCS W&L Students Awarded 2024-2025 M. Garren Tinney Writing Fellowships
M. Garren Tinney Memorial Fund supports inspiring UCSB undergraduate writers
The Writing Program in the Division of Humanities and Fine Arts at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) recently announced the second annual M. Garren Tinney Writing Fellows selected from a strong pool of students across campus: Amitha Bhat ‘25 (CCS Writing & Literature), Sofia Mosqueda ‘25 (CCS Writing & Literature; L&S Communication), and Faith Talamantez ‘25 (CCS Writing & Literature). These fellowships support students, guided by faculty mentors, to complete a substantial writing project by the end of the 2024-2025 academic year.
These fellowships are possible due to the M. Garren Tinney Memorial Fund established in 2023 in loving memory of M. Garren Tinney '01 (L&S English). The faculty, students, and staff at the College of Creative Studies (CCS) extend congratulations to each of the awardees!
