The College of Creative Studies (CCS), and the UCSB Library invite you to a group art exhibition hosted at the CCS Gallery, Cosmic Synastry: Collective Codes and Personal Readings. This exhibition, led by the UCSB Metaphysical Project, brings together eight artists exploring the intersections of personal identity, symbolism, and the celestial.

The exhibition is on view at the CCS Art Gallery from October 1-30, 2026. FREE event. Open to all.  Come mingle with CCS and UCSB Library leadership over appetizers and drinks.

Join us for A Legacy of Stone, an original, entirely student-run musical presented by Shrunken Heads Production Company with support from the UCSB Department of Music. Featuring an original story and music, captivating performances and dance, and a live orchestra of UCSB student musicians, the production brings Medusa's story to the stage. Performances take place October 16–18 at Lotte Lehmann Concert Hall.

A Legacy of Stone - The Musical

Join us at the gallery for a hands-on session exploring archival materials featured in the exhibition, Cosmic Synastry: Collective Codes and Personal Readings. Led by American Religious Collection (ARC) Curator David Gartrell, this interactive event offers a unique opportunity to open the case and handle historic artifacts from UC Santa Barbara Library’s American Religions Collection up close.

Join curators Vanessa Ayala '24 (CCS Art) and Lucy Bell '25 (MFA L&S Department of Art) for the closing reception party of Cosmic Synastry: Collective Codes and Personal Readings. Drinks and light refreshments will be served by Rest Stop. DJ sets by DJ Fridge and Ty (of Goldtooth).

Featured artist CCS Art Faculty Madeleine Eve Ignon will present an excerpt of her performance, Go mamma go at 5:30pm. Go mamma go is an experimental work that explores cliches and archetypes of motherhood through clowning and movement.
