CCS Open House

During Open House, CCS will be hosting information tables, student panels, and a few mock classes for prospective and admitted students! Learn more about why CCS is a unique program within the UC system that empowers experiential learning. Home to eight majors, get to know our community and find out what makes CCS an exciting place for passionate students.

CCS Open House 2022 Schedule

Saturday, April 9, 2022

9am - 3pm CCS Table (Cheadle Plaza)

CCS will have staff and students as part of the tabling fair in front of Cheadle Hall throughout UCSB's Open House. Stop by if you have any questions!

10am, 11am, and 1pm - CCS College Panels (CCS Front Lawn)

CCS students, faculty, and staff discuss the unique environment and experiences available in our small, tight-knit college, and answer your most common questions.

10am - CCS Biology Panel (CCS Patio)

CCS Biology faculty advisor John Latto and current students answer questions specifically about their major and what it's like to be a CCS Bio student.

11am - CCS Mathematics Mock Class (CCS Patio)

Join CCS Mathematics faculty Karel Casteels in a classroom setting. This event will be outdoors, but space is limited.

11am - CCS Music Composition Mock Class (CCS Room 154)

Join CCS Music Composition faculty Leslie Hogan in a classroom setting. Due to the classroom size, this event is prioritized for students who have been admitted to Music Composition.

12pm - Lunch on the Lawn with CCS

Take a moment to catch your breath and snack on your lunch with CCS students, faculty, and staff on our front lawn. We will be happy to meet and talk with you as we all break bread together! (Bring your own lunch.)

1pm - CCS Physics Panel (CCS Patio)

CCS Physics faculty advisor Sathya Guruswamy and current students answer questions specifically about their major and what it's like to be a CCS Physics student.
