Meet Alec Cao '21 (CCS Physics)

Network with Alec Cao '21 (CCS Physics) as he recounts his journey from CCS to the University of Colorado Boulder, where he currently attends the prestigious Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics (AMO) program.

During his undergraduate years, Alec conducted research under the mentorship of Professor David Weld and received the UCSB Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research. Additionally, Alec was named a 2020 Barry Goldwater recipient, a 2020 Worster Fellow, and a National Science Foundaton (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) awardee.

Post-graduation, Alec was admitted to a range of high-ranking universities, including Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Princeton University, The University of Chicago (UChicago), California Institute of Technology (Caltech), and Stanford University. He decided on Boulder after a year of study at Cambridge University as a part of the prestigious Churchill Scholarship
