Martina's senior recital will feature live and electronic music she has composed throughout her time studying at UCSB, performed by musicians from various majors.

Martina Chen is currently a 3rd-year undergraduate in the UCSB College of Creative Studies Music Composition program. She is involved in music as a composer, violinist, stage technician, and producer. Her music is inspired by video games, jazz, and East Asian traditions.

It takes place on January 27, 2023 from 12 to 4 pm. In this chapter of the UCSB Reads 2023 selection, Montgomery writes "City life is as much about moving through landscapes as it is about being in them . . . not only does the city shape the way we move, but our movements shape the city in return."

He’s also the multi-time World Sumo Champion, and has made appearances in 30 countries, worldwide.
