Whether you are undertaking NaNoWriMo’s ambitious goal of writing an entire novel in the month of November, or just want to write and have fun in a supportive environment, join us on November 2nd for a Write-In.

Join us Opening Night Oct. 6 at Bacara for the 5th Anniversary of NatureTrack Film Festival. Event begins at 6:30pm and will end around 10pm.  Screening "Wild Waters" bookended with receptions to celebrate the fifth year milestone. 

Ixiles: Voices from the Shadows of Time is an evolving video essay and collaborative visual ethnography created by Alejandro M. Flores Aguilar. The culmination of over a decade of ethnographic work, it critically examines the history of Indigenous resistance in the Ixil region of Guatemala, from the anti-colonial struggles of the sixteenth century through the revolutionary insurgencies of the mid-twentieth century and beyond.

Martina's senior recital will feature live and electronic music she has composed throughout her time studying at UCSB, performed by musicians from various majors.

Martina Chen is currently a 3rd-year undergraduate in the UCSB College of Creative Studies Music Composition program. She is involved in music as a composer, violinist, stage technician, and producer. Her music is inspired by video games, jazz, and East Asian traditions.

This event is centered around celebrating Black magic during Black History Month. The goal is to embrace the Black community at UCSB with participation from various Black organizations, creatives, and most importantly YOU. Join us for delicious food, FREE goodies for the soul, body, mind, and spirit – music and the best of vibes.

UC Santa Barbara's College of Creative Studies (CCS) will host an exhibition, “To See Is To Forget The Name Of The Thing You See,” by artist Ben Tong and curated by Kim Córdova '07 (CCS Art). The exhibit will open with a reception on February 15 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm in the CCS Gallery. The show will be on display through March 17.

Join Abigail Horn ‘07 (CCS Physics), Research Assistant Professor, University of Southern California for her upcoming talk on “Tracing the Source of Large-Scale Outbreaks of Foodborne Contamination across Complex Food Supply Networks.”
